Sponsoring An Apprentice

Anyone interested in entering the trades will require a sponsor for their apprenticeship.  The sponsor is responsible for registering the apprentice, and maintaining that registration. They guide the apprentice through the learning process, and track hours of learning on the job.

The sponsor is usually the employer, but can also be a related agency such as a trade union, college, or service agency.  The apprentice and sponsor must register with the ITA to make it official.
